Strengthening ID Services through Collaboration: Vanuatu Electoral Office Supports CRIM

On 8th November 2024, the Vanuatu Electoral Office, under the leadership of Principal Electoral Officer Guillan Malessas, presented ID card printers and essential printing consumables to the Registrar General, Jeffery Trief, to bolster the services of the Civil Registration and Identity Management (CRIM) office.

This handover reflects the strong partnership between CRIM and the Vanuatu Electoral Office, which has consistently worked to improve access to identity services for Vanuatu citizens. The newly provided equipment will enable CRIM to expand its capacity to issue citizenship ID cards and enhance the ability of eligible voters to obtain IDs, empowering them to participate fully in the democratic process.

We extend our appreciation to the Vanuatu Electoral Office for this significant contribution and look forward to continuing our collaborative efforts to create a more inclusive and accessible identity system for all citizens of Vanuatu.
